Charge laid in Rainy River Health Centre weapons incident

Anthony Manzo, 45, faces a multitude of charges after Thursday incident, including careless discharge of a firearm.

RAINY RIVER, Ont. -- A 45-year-old Kenora man has been charged with discharging a firearm in a reckless manner after an incident on Thursday at the Rainy River Health Centre.

Antonio Manzo also faces three counts of mischief and charges of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using a firearm while committing an offence and careless use of a firearm.

OPP say no one was hurt in the incident.

The accused appeared in court on Friday and was remanded into custody. Police say they cannot provide any further updates or information because of a publication ban in place.
