Charges laid after police respond to weapons call

KENORA, Ont. – One person is in custody following a weapons call early Thursday morning in Kenora.

According to an OPP release, police were dispatched to the east end of Kenora on Thursday around 1:33 a.m. to respond to a report of an injured man.

The OPP Crime Unit, Community Street Crime Unit and Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau are investigating this incident.

Police have arrested and charged a 31-year-old with careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or ammunition.
