Charges laid following a single-vehicle collision

RED LAKE, Ont. – A single-vehicle collision on Saturday has resulted in the arrest of one Red Lake man.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers responded to a report of an erratic driver Saturday around 10:30 p.m. that had left the roadway and was in the ditch south of the intersection of Highway 125 and Highway 105.

As a result of the investigation, Tyler Moncrief, 32, of Red Lake was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a schedule 1 substance, careless driving and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.

He was released to answer to the charges in Red Lake court on Oct. 21.
