DRYDEN, ONT., — A 32-year-old woman is facing charges connected to a break and enter in Dryden from last fall.
Kaila Blanchard of Dryden has been charged with possession of stolen property following an incident on Oct. 6, 2020, at a local clothing business where several Canada Goose jackets were stolen, Dryden Police said in a news release issued on Jan. 28.
On Jan. 2, while an officer was preparing to transfer a female prisoner, they noted the individual had coyote fur trim on their hood.
The officer was also aware Canada Goose uses real coyote fur on their jackets. Although most of the labels had been carefully removed, an investigation revealed the parka was in fact a Canada Goose jacket, police said.
This was enough grounds for police to lay charges against Blanchard.
She was issued a summons to attend court on a future date.
