THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay Chill battled back on Saturday night to earn an important point against the defending champion Des Moines Menace.

Alexander Pechacek scored in the 78th minute to earn the Chill a 2-2 tie.

Andrea De Vincenzi scored a late first half goal to erase a 1-0 Menace lead heading into halftime.

The draw leaves the Chill (3-1-3) six points back of second place Peoria City, but with four games in hand. The Chill's four-game road trip continues on Sunday night against Peoria City, a match that could determine Thunder Bay's playoff fate. They'll wrap up their road schedule on Tuesday against St. Croix FC and Wednesday against Minneapolis SC.
