NEWS RELEASE
THUNDER BAY CHILL
********************

THUNDER BAY – Chill soccer fans have another weekend of soccer games to come out and support.

The Thunder Bay Chill plays host to the Minneapolis City SC in League Two action on Friday, June 17, 2022. Kick off is 7 p.m. at tbaytelfield at Chapples Park.

The Chill will need to get more goal production from other team members. As of now, only Osita Obiekwe and Edoardo Righetti have goals for the Chill and Righetti is still questionable for this Friday’s game. Sebastian Canales is the other Chill forward that has found posts and crossbars but the team will need him to produce goals.

The Minneapolis City SC was founded in 2016 and recently placed first in the National Premier Soccer League in the North Conference in 2021. This season in the USL League Two, MPLS is sitting in the Deep North Division with two points.

The Chill are 1-1-2 presently with five points.

“The two ties were extremely important for us the last two weeks, but now we need to be in a position to gain three points on our opponents to ensure we control our own destiny for the play-offs,” replied Coach Petraglia.

Four Thunder Bay Chill youth teams will be in action in Thunder Bay at two different venues (St. Ignatius and St. Patrick) playing home as part of the Winnipeg Youth Soccer League loop. They will face off against Bonivital of Winnipeg.

Full schedule of games and locations is listed below. There is no admission charge for youth games.
