THUNDER BAY -- There will be hundreds of presents going under Christmas trees across the city for children who might have otherwise gone without any gifts.

The Dilico Anishinabek Family Care Christmas Wish Campaign exceeded its goal of 660 bags of Christmas presents for under privileged children. Instead, they filled more than 700.

Carmela Hardy, the director of Child Welfare at Dilico, says the outpouring of support from the community was remarkable and none of it would have been possible without all of the helping hands.

The Dilico Christmas Wish campaign also partnered with St. Patricks High School's Grade 12 drama students, who collected donations to fill bags during the school's production of the Nutcracker.
