The City of Thunder Bay recently acquired a number of properties in the city’s south core. The move to acquire the property is part of the city’s strategic plan to invest in the revitalization and development of the downtown.
The city has recently required the former West Hotel, located at 128 Simpson St., and the adjacent ANAF Hall.
Council has also authorized the acquisition of:
- 400 Donald St. East.
- 411 Donald St. East.
- The former Inntowner biulding and property – 239 and 301 Brodie St. South.
City officials state in a news release issued Friday that the acquisition of these properties will contribute to parking in the area and could later be used for redevelopment.
