Starting this fall, residential leaf and yard waste MUST be stored in Kraft paper bags for curbside pickup – yard waste in plastic bags will no longer be accepted. Leaf & yard waste, Kraft bags and all, and bundles of branches are made into rich compost at the City’s landfill site and provided to residents free of charge each spring.
We’ll help residents get started with two free Kraft bags – just visit the City’s table at the food court at Intercity Shopping Centre on Friday, Oct. 2 from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
