THUNDER BAY – Though they anticipate their events will probably still look a little different than usual in 2021, the City of Thunder Bay nonetheless is seeking local talent to take part.

On Thursday the city issued a call for talent, vendors, artisans and community groups, but stressed that with public safety being the top priority, to expect the events to be delivered in new and innovative ways to discourage large gatherings that typically occur with large-scale events like Canada Day.

“Despite current uncertainties in the actual scale and format of summer events, the calls for talent, vendors, artists/artisans and community groups will help determine their interest and type of participation in events this summer,” city officials wrote in a release issued to local media.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Feb. 26 and must be emailed to [email protected].
