City council will have a few meals more after passing a resolution Monday night.
From now on if a closed session meeting is needed before regular city council meetings, which start at 6:30 p.m., city council will have meals provided for them.
The city has spent around $6,800 so far this year on meals for meetings. Some councillors argued that it's difficult to find time between work and meetings to eat and that the resolution will help them out. But other councillors like Coun. Rebecca Johnson said she tries eat as little as possible on the tax payers' dollar.
Coun. Joe Virdiramo said the money spent usually goes to local businesses.
