City crews had their hands full as they worked overnight in frigid temperatures to repair a water main break at the corner of Dufferin and Algoma Street
The incident happened early Monday morning. Work crews were called in shortly after and spent most of the day repairing the 12-inch main. The break left a handful of nearby businesses without water, but has since been restored.
Daniel Lavoie, with the North Side Sewer and Water division, says traffic was also re-routed, but didn't seem to cause too much of an inconvenience for drivers.
Lavoie said water main breaks are common this time of year because of the freezing temperatures.
