Roads Division Manager Brad Adams says crews have cleared the main roads and are moving into secondary roads.

While the heavy, wet slush has made shovelling snow and driving a headache, Adams said an area of concern for the city is frozen storm drains.

"When we’re plowing, we are trying to get the snow off the road," he said. "What has causes the problem is that sometimes slush can covered the catch basins. If we have some time we will have a grader go by and open up some of these catch basins.

"Hopefully sometime later (Monday) afternoon we will have crews out dealing with areas that might be frozen."

Adams said work crews will use steamers and other equipment to open up any catch basins that are frozen
