THUNDER BAY — The city has announced plans to broaden the closure of a stretch of Edward Street because of a construction project.
Starting Friday, June 1, both lanes of Edward between Parkway Drive and Churchill Drive will be blocked off to permit road and watermain work to continue.
When the project began on May 23, northbound traffic was prohibited but southbound traffic was still allowed.
The closure of both lanes is expected to be in effect for up to four weeks.
The city said signs will be posted to advise motorists.
