City gas prices still up despite national fall

City motorists are still feeling it at the pumps. Over the past week, gas prices across the province have fallen by six to eight cents a litre but that's not the case in Thunder Bay. Prices around the city continue to hover above $1.43 a litre.

Over the past week, gas prices across the province have fallen by six to eight cents a litre but that's not the case in Thunder Bay. Prices around the city continue to hover above $1.43 a litre. And some gas bars are even higher, at $1.46 and nearly $1.48 a litre.

Meanwhile, the average price in Ontario has fallen from $1.37 to $1.29, according to the web site www.ontariogasprices.com. And the website shows Thunder Bay has many of the highest priced gas bars in Ontario. The current national average for a litre of gas is $1.28 a litre.
