Thunder Bay residents will have the opportunity to get a first-hand look next Wednesday at the city’s storm-water master plan.
City officials are holding an open house from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Italian Cultural Centre on Algoma Street, where the city will unveil the plan.
It will examine watershed conditions, the effectiveness of current infrastructure and impacts of climate change. It will also outline strategies and policies to improve water quality and improve flow capacity. The public and stakeholders will also be invited to provide input through a consultation process.
EcoSuperior will also be on hand to provide tours of one of the city’s low-impact development sites, designed to absorb and reduce storm-water runoff.
A guided tour will take place at 5:30 p.m.
