City of Thunder Bay announces Winter FunDays activities

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce the return of Winter FunDays in 2022. The weekly activities will be held every Sunday in neighbourhoods throughout the city, from Sunday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, March 10 - from 2 pm to 4 pm. All activities will take place outdoors. Participants will be required to adhere to all COVID protocols, including mandatory masks and physical distancing.
 
"Everything is set to go given that there's no more changes to government regulations, but, if there are, we'll make the changes as we go, but anyways, every Sunday starting next weekend there will be fun free activities for our community members to enjoy," said Louisa Costanzo, Cultural Development and Events supervisor.
 
2022 Winter FunDays activities include:

Jan. 30 – Snow Globe Craft with Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (Marina Park)
Feb. 6 – Mini-snow people with Willow Springs  (Northwood Playfield)
Feb. 13 – Creative Movement with Community Arts & Heritage Education Project  (Marina Park)
Feb. 20 – Ice Fishing (Marina Park)
Feb. 27 – Snow Flake Mobile Craft with Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (Marina Park) and Dog Sledding (Westfort Playfield)
March 6 – Skating, Hot Chocolate and Science North Activities (Minnesota Park)
March 13 – Frozen Suncatcher Snowshoe (Chapples)
March 20 - Winter Wreath or Bleeding-Tissue-Paper Greeting Card Craft with Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (Marina Park)
