City police respond to weapons call

THUNDER BAY -- City police arrested several people following an early morning weapons call.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a call on Sunday around 3 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Brodie Street.

Police say reports indicated two individuals entered the residence possibly armed with firearms.

The emergency task unit was deployed to contain the area and keep the public safe during the call.

The residence was evacuated and several people were arrested for outstanding warrants.

The suspects were not present when members of the emergency task unit entered the home.

The victims and accused suspects were known to each other.
