THUNDER BAY -- The City of Thunder Bay says its road crews will be out in full force throughout the city on Wednesday, and have been sanding roads since about 10 p.m. last night.

Thunder Bay is under a freezing rain warning.

In a release, city officials say crews are getting to arterial and collector roads on Wednesday morning. Sidewalk sanding began at about 3 a.m. and is expected to continue throughout the day.

Thunder Bay Transit buses remain in operation, but passengers are being cautioned they will likely experience delays.

City officials remind motorists and pedestrians to use caution when driving or walking in icy conditions.
