City of Thunder Bay release

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is currently looking to hire regular and spare crossing guards for the 2018/2019 school year.

The City seeks friendly, positive individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join the crossing guard team to ensure all locations have adequate coverage.

Crossing guards provide a vitally important service to the community by being responsible for the safe passage of children to and from school. They range from retired professionals to stay-at-home parents and grandparents. Their dedication to their position is what continues to make the City’s Crossing Guard Program effective.

Crossing guards are required to work Mondays through Fridays, in the morning before school and in the afternoon after school. Time off includes weekends, professional development days, statutory holidays and two months in the summer.
