This area’s inflation rate rose slightly in May.
New numbers from Statistics Canada shows that the Thunder Bay area inflation rate rose 0.3 per cent in May, which is up from a zero per cent increase recorded in April.
That means that this city has one of the lowest rates of inflation among major urban areas in the country.
Nationally, the rate of inflation rose 0.7 per cent in May.
The provincial average was slightly lower at 0.5 per cent.
