THUNDER BAY – The unemployment rate for this area was on the rise in November.
New data from Statistics Canada shows Thunder Bay’s unemployment rate in November reached 5.3 per cent, which is up from the 4.9 per cent recorded in October.
Despite the rise, this city’s unemployment rate remains below Ontario’s six per cent. It also remains the second lowest unemployment rate in the province, with only Guelph reporting lower.
