THUNDER BAY – It’s getting more difficult to find an apartment in the city.
The vacancy rate for this area continues to drop and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Agency reports that October’s rate was 1.1 per cent.
That’s the second lowest vacancy rate in the country.
Thunder Bay’s vacancy rate last October was 1.7 per cent.
Market Analyst Warren Philp says there is interest in building new rental units, but whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen.
