There's been a slight easing in the apartment vacancy rate in Thunder Bay.

A new report from Canada Mortgage and Housing pegs the rate at 2.4 per cent, which is up from the 1.8 per cent reported at this same point last year.

While Thunder Bay once had the lowest vacancy rate in the province, that dubious distinction now falls to Toronto, Oshawa and Guelph, who all come in at just 1.6 per cent.

The highest vacancy rate in Ontario is in Windsor at 6.3 per cent.
