THUNDER BAY – The Annual CLE Spring Home and Garden show celebrated another successful return in the city.
This year’s show saw over 5,000 visitors stop by over the weekend to learn about and buys some products and services from local companies.
Judy Anderson, vice-president of marketing for the CLE and chairperson of the Home and Garden Show, said that a large part of why the show is still going strong after 26 years is that the people want it back year after year.
“Right after this I’m going to be getting phone calls saying ‘put me down for next year, I’m coming back’,“ she said.
“A lot have people have told us that this is all the advertising that they do for the whole year. That’s all they need; they get their contacts from the show and away they go until next year.”
With so much shopping taking place virtually in the modern day, a lot of companies don’t get the chance to meet face to face with potential customers and many local businesses appreciate the chance to build a real relationship with the community.
“We’ve been in the Home and Garden Show since they started it. It’s a great time of year to create some excitement, to get people out and excited to do their projects,” said Dave Haywood, general manager of Lockstone “Attendance has been great. The weather is great this weekend and people are just really excited.”
Though the show is over, its not to late to start planning your projects for this year. Visit the Home and Garden Show’s Facebook Page to learn about some of the companies that participated and what services they offer.
