THUNDER BAY – The Canadian Lakehead Exhibition’s annual summer fair may be cancelled for 2020, but the organization isn't ready to put an end to all the fun.

The CLE on Tuesday announced it will host the city’s first drive-in concert and fireworks show, to commemorate their 130th anniversary.

Scheduled for Aug. 2 at the CLE grounds, the event, sponsored by Halfway Motors and Tbaytel, features local favourites Private Eyes and Rebel Spirit.

Admission is free.

The gates are scheduled to open at 7:30 p.m., with the show beginning an hour later. A rain date has been set aside for Aug. 3.

Parking marshals will be provided by the United Commercial Travelers and donations to Our Kids Count will be accepted.
