The Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation reports that home construction activity for June looks a lot like May.
The CMHC says 315 projects started in June in the Thunder Bay area. That’s down, but only very slightly, to the 318 projects that began in May.
But while seven multi-unit projects began in May, only two were started in June.
CMHC officials say this area is still positioned for a strong 2013.
