A drug bust that netted police $57,000 in cocaine and $6,800 in cash has landed two men in custody. Thunder Bay police say they executed a controlled drugs and substance warrant last Saturday at a hotel room on West Arthur Street.

A drug bust that netted police $57,000 in cocaine and $6,800 in cash has landed two men in custody.

Thunder Bay police say they executed a controlled drugs and substance warrant last Saturday at a hotel room on West Arthur Street.
The search uncovered 20.5 ounces of cocaine, the cash and other items allegedly tied to drug trafficking.

Ted Nichol, 38, a resident of Brampton, Ont., faces charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to commit and indictable offence and proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000.

Thunder Bay’s Berkley David Blake, 35, faces charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Police say the investigation continues.
