THUNDER BAY — The Goal Sports Centre on the grounds of Confederation College has reopened after a temporary shutdown.
The facility, commonly known as the bubble, was closed Friday because of the amount of snow on the roof.
"We closed for a couple of days out of an abundance of caution," says Thunder Bay developer Robert Zanette, whose company operates the Goal Sports Centre.
In an email to Tbnewswatch, Zanette said it reopened Sunday after the snow was removed.
"There was no damage," he said.
On its Facebook page. the Lakehead Express Soccer Club, one of the users of the sports centre, reported that "the shape of the roof is back to normal" and that the club's scheduled activities are resuming today.
