A widespread power outage Monday evening left hundreds of homeowners in the dark for several hours.
Thunder Bay Hydro were on scene at the city's south side, which experienced the outage, after a hydro pole caught on fire and burned through. Fire crews managed to quickly bring the blaze under control.
The power outage affected several areas, including James Street, Seneca street and Fanshaw, as well as parts along Highway 61.
According to officials with Thunder Bay Hydro power should now be restored to all affected areas.
