THUNDER BAY -- Confederation College is signing off on its broadcasting program for at least a year.

Low enrollment has forced the college to put the program on hiatus for next year.

"So that we may explore opportunities to renew and refresh the curriculum.  This will mean that there will be no intake of Broadcasting for the 2016/17 year," Academic vice-president Gail Murdock said in a statement on the college's website.

"Students who have applied to the program as their first choice are being contacted and alternate offers are being explored."
The college says the suspension will give it an opportunity to look at the program and refresh and renew the curriculum.

"And time for the faculty to look to the program content as it relates to this ever changing industry."
