Both of city’s post-secondary education institutions hope to attract high school attention during the March break.
Lakehead University and Confederation College are offering open houses this week in the hopes of attracting some new students.
Prospective students gathered at LU Monday to take part in a handful of different activities.
Along with their family and friends, students were taken on an hour-long campus tour and had the chance to check out the campus residence.
Julie Follis is a recruitment officer for Lakehead, and she told Thunder Bay Television that they have a record number of students registered for the open house, with the majority coming from out of town.
Follis added that the students will have a busy schedule when they visit.
Confederation College is also offering tours of their facilities all week.
