SHUNIAH, Ont. - Multiple people suffered minor injuries after a motor vehicle collision sent an SUV into the ditch on Highway 11/17 east of Thunder Bay.
The collision took place near the intersection of Highway 11/17 and McKenzie Heights Road Thursday afternoon just after 1 p.m.
An eastbound SUV was hit as a truck was attempting to cross the highway on McKenzie Heights Road.
The truck was spun around and the SUV was sent into the ditch where it struck a Hydro One meter.
Multiple people suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Superior North EMS, Shuniah Fire and Rescue, and Ontario Provincial Police attended the scene, along with Hydro One crews.
Eastbound traffic on Highway 11/17 was closed as emergency crews attended the scene.
