THUNDER BAY -- Two agencies who provide valuable programs and services for the developmentally disabled are getting a hand from the province.

MPP Bill Mauro (Lib., Thunder Bay-Atikokan) on Friday announced Community Living Thunder Bay and Community Living Atikokan will receive funding from the provincial government for minor infrastructure improvements.

Community Living Thunder Bay will receive $68,000 to replace roof shingles and the HVAC systems while Community Living Atikokan will receive $27,5000 to install new energy efficient doors and windows, as well as replace the basement floor.

“Support for our social service agencies is an investment in the people and economy of these communitites. These investments in Community Living Atikokan and Community Living Thunder Bay help maintain a strong system of supports and services for Ontarians who need them,” Mauro said in a statement.
