Internationally acclaimed American educator and author on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Carol Gray spoke to hundreds, both in person at the hotel and via web cast to crowds in Calgary, Ottawa and Quebec City about Autism.
The sold out conference, put on by Autism Ontario and Thunder Bay school boards is running for two days. This is the first time an expert has dedicated a conference to the topic in Thunder Bay.
Gray says the number of children with autism is rising, and says it is important for people who work with them to better understand their special needs to help them learn and grow. One in every 130 students in Thunder Bay has Autism and that number is expected to rise next year to one in 100.
