Construction is underway on a new daycare facility on the Lakehead University campus.
It's located on Oliver Road, right in front of the LU Hanger. The foundations were laid last month, and construction crews were on site Wednesday morning, putting up the exterior walls of the building.
LU officials would not comment on the project.
But sources have told TBT News that the building will become the new, larger location for the Nanabijou Child Care Centre, which operates out of the University's Prettie Residence.
The new daycare is expected to open next September, in time for the new school year.
The current Nanbijou daycare can accommodate 39 children, but that number will go up once the move is made.
