A section of High Street will close starting next week.

THUNDER BAY — A section of High Street, between Oliver Road and Queen Street, will close for two weeks, starting on Monday.

City officials say the closure is necessary to allow for the completion of outstanding sidewalk and paving work remaining from last year.

The work should take no more than 14 days and street access will be allowed for local traffic only. Detour signs will be posted.

Drivers are asked to use extra caution when travelling through the area.
