THUNDER BAY – Lane closures will be in place on Arthur Street between Mountdale Avenue and James Street starting on Friday to allow for resurfacing work.
A media release issued by the City of Thunder Bay said Arthur Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction in the area. Intersection approaches at Mountdale Avenue and James Street will be closed as work proceeds.
The work involves removal of asphalt pavement to partial depth, and re-paving with two new lifts of asphalt.
The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete. This timeline is subject to change and could be impacted by weather and other factors, the release said.
All drivers are reminded to reduce speed, watch for workers, and drive with extra care in construction zones.
