Construction worker in hospital after on-site incident

Paramedics rushed a construction worker to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Thursday morning after the male victim was struck in the chest by the bucket of a backhoe.
Paramedics rushed a construction worker to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Thursday morning after the male victim was struck in the chest by the bucket of a backhoe.

The incident is being investigated by the provincial Ministry of Labour. Superior EMS officials say the 60-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police on scene at the North Court Street address were unable to comment on the incident.
