THUNDER BAY -- Construction work on the new Marriott-Delta hotel on the waterfront is now expected to get underway at the beginning of June.
Giselle McDonald of the ReSolve Group, which is the project developer says the finalized architectural design has been completed.
“We are looking forward to actually getting a four-star hotel up and running in Thunder Bay,” McDonald said during an interview with CKPR Radio.
“I can tell you that the marriage of Delta to Marriott has been nothing but a success story.”
The site of the waterfront hotel has seen little activity recently, but officials say a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes.
McDonald expects that construction will take up to 15 months to complete.
