The province has awarded a contract for road improvements on Highway 11, just west of Atikokan.
Ontario has awarded Pioneer Construction with the $6.7 million job, which is expected to create 70 jobs for the area.
The roadwork includes a 20-kilometre stretch of highway, which is being re-paved.
Work is set to start this fall.
