The Regional Food Distribution Association is set for the holiday season and into the new year, thanks in part to Shaw's Together is Amazing campaign.
Through the campaign, Shaw teamed up with Campbell's Soup to collect 36,000 pounds of food for the RFDA. As well, Shaw has made another donation to the food bank in the form of a cheque that amounts to more than $4,000.
The local donation is just part of the $250,000 the company has given to food banks across the country.
RFDA chairman Larry Brigham said the money will go a long way in stocking the shelves through the new year.
Brigham added that even though there is now enough food for the holiday season, more people are making use of the food bank than in previous years.
