Another member of Thunder Bay city council has filed nomination papers to run in this October's municipal election.

Coun. Aldo Ruberto was elected for the first time in 2006 as an at-large councillor, and has decided to run again in the at-large race. Coun. Ruberto said the current city council has accomplished more than a lot of people realize, and added that he wants to see the projects they've started or funded through to completion.

Those projects include the waterfront development, the walking trails and the regional research centre.

Coun. Ruberto said he decided to run at-large rather than for the Red River ward he lives in because he says current ward Coun. Brian McKinnon has done a great job at the council table.
