THUNDER BAY – City councillors will meet tonight without former city manager Tim Commisso, who officially retired last week.
Instead interim city manager Norm Gale will be present as councillors dig into the agenda at City Hall.
The Heritage Transportation Committee will be reporting to council. It was formed to look after the city's historical transport items, such as the CN caboose at Marina Park and the Brill Buses.
The Committee is recommending council create a Lakehead Transportation Museum to house those assets.
Council will also look at ending its relationship with the Indian Friendship Centre.
The two groups formed a partnership in 2013 to explore the possibility of building a new Youth Centre.
That project fell apart due to lack of funding.
Council youth advocate Frank Pullia says in the meantime the city has focused on neighbourhood youth programs.
