After months of planning, a new community safety and crime prevention plan is set to come before city council Monday night.
The plan was created by the city's crime prevention council, which formed last December.
Back in June, the group finalized the draft strategy and now it's being recommended for city council to approve the plan.
The strategy includes communication, education, and community involvement initiatives, and Mayor Keith Hobbs says he's looking forward to seeing some outcomes from the group.
A presentation from the CEDC about making Thunder Bay a regional and exploration mining services centre is also on Monday night’s agenda.
Council will also get a first report on a strategic master plan for fire stations in the city for the next five years.
