Members of the Disaster Relief Committee will not be appearing before city council tonight as originally planned.
The update from the committee has been postponed, apparently because all of the required information was not available to give council a full report.
More than $1.5 million was raised for the Disaster Relief Fund. The program sets amounts for individual items lost in the flood, and is designed to provide reimbursement for only the basic items to those who are eligible.
Committee members hoped to get cheques in the mail by early April. But they won't appear before city council now until April 8.
In other business, council will also be asked to increase the budget for Prince Arthur's Landing.
The additional money will pay for a settlement in a dispute with contractors, and an aquatic habitat project.
It will also top off money set aside for landscaping that will take place after the hotel and condos are complete.
Council last increased the budget for Prince Arthur's Landing by $8.6 million in 2011.
