THUNDER BAY -- Councillors thought administration had better things to do than look into whether the city should try toll roads.
The idea from Coun. Larry Hebert had little support Monday night as councillors said the idea wasn't even worth it as an option. Coun. Rebecca Johnson said she already received calls from several rural mayors upset with the idea.
"I'm not sure how we could ever do this in Thunder Bay," she said.
Coun. Iain Angus said the city gets a lot of business from surrounding communities. He didn't even want a report on the idea.
"I think we’ve got better things for them to be doing with the time we pay them for,” he said of administration.
