FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection has made another large seizure of counterfeit goods at the border crossing between Fort Frances and International Falls, Minnesota.

Officers searched a U.S.-bound container transported by rail from British Columbia, and found 480 home theatre speaker systems with counterfeit markings.

The confiscated shipment has an estimated retail value of just under $1.4 million U.S.

The Fort Frances/International Falls crossing has been the site of several high-profile seizures over the past year, including shipments of counterfeit Barbie dolls, toys planes and another shipment of speakers.
