INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. – U.S. border inspectors say they seized more than 7,700 counterfeit Rocket Copters during an early June search of a railway car at the International Falls, Minn. crossing.

Customs and Border Protection officials say the fake toys were valued at $116,322, based on the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.

“CBP continues to play a key role in Intellectual Property Rights enforcement,” said Anthony Jackson, International Falls port director. “CBP continues to stay focused on combating the illegitimate trade in counterfeit products.”

The U.S. side said stopping the flow of illegal goods is a priority trade issue for the United States, adding it can damage the American economy.
