THUNDER BAY — A 56-year-old Thunder Bay man faces charges of robbery and breach of probation following a weekend incident at the Walmart store at County Fair.
According to city police, a male entered the store Saturday evening, placed some merchandise in a backpack, then attempted to exit through the main door.
When staff approached the man and asked to see a receipt, he became combative and assaulted one of the workers.
Police apprehended the suspect within 10 minutes of being dispatched to the scene.
He appeared in court Sunday and was remanded in custody pending his next court date.
